How do wax melts work?
You will need a tealight burner or an electric burner. Simply snap off a piece of your wax and place it on the melt plate. Light a tealight under your tealight burner or turn your electric burner on. Do not leave your burner unattended, or near pets, children or droughts. Do not leave wax melt burners on for more than 3 hours at a time. They will need time to cool between burns.
How much wax should I use?
Choose the wax melt you'd like to use. I'd suggest you snap off a segment of our snap bars or clamshells, or use a 1/4 of our melt pots. For our cute seasonal shapes I'd say break off a piece similar in size to a £1 coin, then go from there. Give it 10 minutes to release the fragrance before adding a little more to it if desired.
Remember it's easier to add extra wax after 10 minutes of burning than it is to remove it so start small. We use maximum fragrance in our products so your chosen fragrance could fill the room very quickly!
How long does your wax last until it needs to be changed?
It's all personal preference, some people prefer a stronger scent in their homes than others.
Typically a segment of wax from one of our snap bars will last 7 hours+
It also depends on the type of burner you use. A tealight burner will get the wax hotter than an electric burner, releasing it in a greater amount as it is burning the fragrance away. Because of this our wax melts will last even longer on an electric burner, though the fragrance may not be as strong.
