Making time for self care is essential, we are organic creatures, we can't run without it.
Self care can be as easy as:
- Getting an extra hour in bed
- Drinking your tea whilst it's still hot and really savouring the experience
- Going for a walk around the corner to get some fresh air
- Putting on your sports clothes and doing a mini workout (I know I feel fitter just putting them on 😅)
- Buy some nice veggies and other ingredients for your dinner tonight and create something tasty - tonight we're having stuffed peppers
- Do something for you that you've wanted to do for ages but kept putting off because you haven't had the time (painting, new clothes, vision board, thrown away stuff that makes you feel icky)
- Have a bubble bath
- Light your candles and read a book
We've all heard the term 'you can't pour from an empty cup' but I think self care is actually helping you to 'work smarter, not harder'.
I know when I keep going without a break I end up making silly mistakes or doing more than what's needed to get a job done.
